
Engineering Overview
It is a treatment system used mainly for industrial wastewater. The purpose is to remove pollutants from wastewater so that the treated water can be reused or discharged according to applicable requirements. S Spans Envirotech 2. Main Units Screen: Removes large solids such as plastic, cloth, fibres and debris. Collection Tank: Collects wastewater coming from the plant. Equalization Tank: Balances flow and pollution load. Neutralization Tank: Adjusts wastewater pH. Coagulation: Chemicals destabilize fine/colloidal particles. Flocculation: Small particles combine into larger flocs. Primary Clarifier: Flocs and solids settle as sludge. Aeration Tank: Microorganisms consume biodegradable organic matter and reduce BOD. Secondary Clarifier: Separates biological sludge from treated water. PSF: Removes remaining suspended particles. ACF: Provides additional polishing for certain organic compounds, colour and odour. Disinfection: Reduces microorganisms when required. Treated Water Tank: Stores treated effluent. 3. COD: A broader measure of oxygen required to chemically oxidize substances in wastewater. TSS: Solid particles suspended in water. TDS: Dissolved substances/salts in water.
