Capacity calculation If the plant operates 24 hours/day: 60,000 L/day ÷ 24 = 2,500 L/hour So the average flow is about 2.5 m³/hour. For design, engineers normally provide some margin for peak flow, so the actual equipment capacities may be higher than this average.
